Feel free to be jealous of me. She is even cuter, sweeter and more fun than she seems on her blog. Her girls are just lovely and her husband is a truly nice (if quiet) guy.
If you have been wondering where we are lately, and why we haven’t been posting, we’ve been flying kites. Yep. Kite flying has become a favorite activity amongst the nestlings here in Eaglewood’s Nest.
We have also been out walking quite a bit. Our youngest little guy, Wildchild, recently got a new pair of shoes. He is convinced that putting on his shoes means that we HAVE to take him for a walk. He’s very persuasive. I have to admit that I have a very difficult time resisting the charm of being led about our neighborhood by this incredibly happy and enthusiastic little man.
Eaglewood finally got our van put back together, but it seems that our new part may have been defective and he may have to change it out again. In the meantime, he is consoling himself by shopping for some sort of older car to become our family’s new second vehicle. I think that I may become addicted to internet car shopping if we don’t find something soon! My one hope, at present, is that my limited attention span and tightwad nature will win out in the end.

![]() You need a lot of freedom in your life. You like to do your own thing, and you don’t fit into any normal mold. Through lots of life experience, you understand the world well. You can often predict what people will do before they even think of doing it. You tend to feel apart from the rest of the world. You don’t really fit in, and you don’t try to! You are a true intellectual. You are thirsty for knowledge, and you are curious about the world. |
I’m sure that by now you know how much I love book sales, garage sales and thrifting. This time we really hit the jackpot by getting all of these books for less than $10 at a school book sale in a neighboring town! I probably would have gotten more but toting around this bunch nearly broke my arm as it was!
Wild Child was wonderfully behaved the entire time just sitting at my feet thumbing through boxes and stacks of books. It did cause a bit of confusion, however, when someone thought I was talking to the stack of books in front of me instead of the baby at my feet! I may be a little crazy, but I hope that I am not yet that far gone!
