Tim’s Mom blogs at Bona Vita Rusticanda Est, and she tagged Mama Squirrel of Dewey’s Treehouse for a meme she created. Mama Squirrel tagged me. So now you get to read more about us than you were probably interested in knowing.
Tim’s Mom writes:
“People who visit us get a taste of who we are, what we’re into, and what we’re like. I notice that my kids tend to show new visitors the same computer things they like, or play music for them that they love that our guests have probably never heard, and offer the same snacks.Since there are lots of people I know via the internet who may never get the chance to visit us, I thought I’d offer a virtual glimpse of a visit to our house.”
If you came to our house–You would see: Ummm…. Us? Our dog and cat (a.k.a. The Orange Rug)? And books. Lots of books and scrapbooks. Sneefert and Puddleglum have a multitude of Legos which are hard to miss…
We’d probably feed you: Most likely some sort of hot sandwich, sandwich wrap, or quiche. How do you feel about Mexican food? This IS Texas, after all! Oh, and muffins… We are really into baking all sorts of muffins lately.
And offer you this to drink: Coffee, tea, milk or water. We’re boring that way.
We’d undoubtedly ask if you’d read: Like Mama Squirrel, I would probably wait to see what interested you before asking about your reading habits. We try not to scare people off until after we’ve fed them.
We’d want to play this music for you: Overall, our tastes are pretty eclectic. Pookie would probably want to play some Kutless for you, though!
We’d want to tell you the latest about: Latest news? We have latest news about something? Why didn’t anyone tell me?
We’d probably suggest a game of: Baseball at the local park, foxtail in the back yard or the field, or a board game.
We might show off: photos, crafts, art and books. Ditto might show off whatever computer or game system he is currently working on. Sneefert and Puddleglum would probably want to show off their latest Lego creations. If it is dark out, we might bore you with the telescope… If you are an especially brave soul and happen to have an interest in local history, we might even drive you over to the courthouse in McKinney to see the statue of our great, great, great, great (great?) grandfather…
We might get on the computer and show you: Maybe something from You-tube? I have no idea.
If it was a long enough visit, we might watch: “Meet the Robinsons” got the highest vote here… What would you want to watch?
Oh–and if I have to tag some other bloggers?
Whoever feels brave enough to share a bit about THEIR homes!
